What Brim Collection is
Brim Collection is a custom patching, embroidery and DTF transfer shop in Oklahoma City. Hats, bags, bible covers and jackets, made by hand. Every job is priced to your artwork, your garment and your quantity, and you approve a proof before anything runs.
Embroidery
Embroidery is thread sewn straight into the garment, worked from a digitized stitch file. It sits proud of the fabric, catches the light, and does not crack, fade or peel the way a print eventually will. It is the finish people associate with a uniform that cost something. It is the right call when the artwork is a logo or a name rather than a full-chest illustration, when the garment has structure (caps, polos, jackets, bags, beanies), and when the piece will be worn hard and washed often.
Artwork has to be digitized first, converted into a stitch path that tells the machine where every needle drop goes. That is a one-time step per design. Very fine detail and very small text do not survive being sewn, so we will tell you honestly if something needs simplifying before it goes on a cap.

Patching
Patching is a patch made for you, then set onto the piece by hand. It is where Brim started and it is still the thing people come for. Anything can be patched. Hats first, then bible covers, planner covers, bags, slippers, jean jackets. Pick a patch that is you, or bring your own idea and we will build it.

DTF Transfers
A DTF (direct-to-film) transfer is a design printed onto a film, then heat-pressed into the garment. There are no screens to burn, so full color costs the same as one color, and a run of six is as sensible as a run of sixty.

- The garment is a tee, a hoodie or a blend that will not take a stitch well
- You need a small run, or just the one
- The design is big and detailed enough that thread would fight it

Weddings, bachelorette parties, 40th birthdays, a kid's team, a girls' trip. When a group makes something together, it stops being merch and becomes the reason everyone's talking. It gets you past surface-level. We handle parties, events and custom group orders: patched, embroidered or printed.
What that looks like is on two pages: what a room full of people makes at a party, and the booth, and what travels in it at a market.

Brim Collection is Stephanie. Fifteen years in corporate HR, matching people to where they truly fit in an organization. Then a friend was selling her custom hat business and she jumped, because it turned out to be the same job: helping people show up as who they actually are.
Your job is made in our shop, on our machines, by us. When you ask how a job is going, someone can walk over and look at it. It also means we will tell you when a design will not work. Very fine lines close up when they are stitched, and tiny text turns into a smudge. We would rather have that conversation before the run than send you a set you are disappointed by.

Common questions.
Can I bring my own hat or jacket?
Yes. Plenty of jobs start as a photo of something you already own. Bring the piece and we will work from there.
What file should I send?
A vector is best: .pdf or .svg. Lines stay sharp at any size and colors can be matched exactly. A large PNG or JPG is fine, the bigger the better. If it is the logo from your website it is probably too small, so check with us first. No file at all is fine too: describe it and we will talk it through.
Do you do one-off pieces, or only matching sets?
Both. One-of-a-kind is where Brim started, and it is still the thing people come for.
What is the difference between embroidery, patching and a transfer?
Embroidery is thread sewn straight into the garment. Patching is a patch made for you, then set onto the piece by hand. A transfer is printed onto film and heat-pressed in. Tell us what you want made and we will tell you which one it wants, or read all three side by side on the services page.
Do I pick it up, or do you ship?
Either. Pick it up from the shop in Yukon, or we will ship it to you.
